But here are few methods to tackle the termite and bed bug problem:

  1. Heat Treatment: You should raise the room temperature to a high level where they won’t be able to survive. Bed bugs cannot be found easily and are very small in size. With this method, heat will reach every nook and corner and kill them eventually. Some people even use hand dryers but for optimum results use heaters that can heat up the room faster. Make sure that you stay out of the home during the treatment. Also, ensure that you have closed all the windows and doors properly so that heat does not escape from anywhere.
  2. Clean up the mess: Parasites always thrive in dirty surroundings. A cluttered place will ensure that bed bugs have more place to hide and thus, finding and treating them is tougher. If you find bed bugs in your mattress, you should buy special covers or encasements that can prevent you from the bug bites.
  3. Frequently wash the beddings: Frequent washing bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, especially in hot water and drying them in sunlight will considerably reduce the number of bed bugs. Also, these pests tend to hide in laundry bags or boxes. So make sure that you clean them up also religiously.
  4. Use petroleum jelly: You can use petroleum jelly, talc, duct or sticky tape around the bed to reduce the bugs. The bugs cannot cross the petroleum jelly or other such sticky materials and this is a good way to avoid their movement from the bed to hiding places.
